Dear Reviewers In General,

I understand that many of you are not the best at grammar and spelling, and asking you to beta and spellcheck all of your reviews is rather ridiculous. Therefore, as long as I can understand what you're typing I try not to pay attention to typos and the like.

However, can General You please at least make sure the review makes sense? Too often have I read reviews (to myself and others) that are impossible to read due to excessive spelling and grammatical errors that 7 year olds wouldn't make. I'm not talking chat speak, I'm talking about words so mangled to the point where they're not even close to any word in the English language.

I appreciate the reviews. I'd appreciate them more if I knew what they said.

If you're going to write fanfic about a series that takes place in Japan and the main characters are in school, it would probably be a good idea to do some research into how Japanese schools work. They're not exactly the same as they are in America, as the countless fanfics I have read make them out to be, and if you're going to write it then you should write it correctly.

First off, Japanese students don't move around to different classrooms during the day. The students stay in the same classroom, and the teachers are the ones that move around. That's why some shows make a big deal out of who is in what class: those students are the only ones you have class with, so you're pretty much stuck with them. Seeing two girls making a big deal out of 'having 5th period together' makes no sense.

Secondly, a lot of schools in Japan go to school six days a week, not five. Be sure to find out if your canon has the students going to school six days a week or five days a week.

Finally, the school year starts in April and ends in March. I can't even begin to count the times writers have had the characters talk about 'being seniors after summer' or something like that.

There are many, many more, but these are the main three I see a lot. Research is your friend, fic writer. Use it.

Before you write a shitty fanfiction about a hardcore otaku, and before you go through a list of everything said hardcore otaku watches in the evening, I'm pretty sure that you need to A. Stop being 13, B. Get your ass off of Cartoon Network and find out what shows are actually STILL AIRING in Japan today. Rattling through the short list of your the character's "opinions" on Naruto, DeathNote, Inuyasha, Bleach, Code Geass, and Full Metal Alchemist was painful. Inuyasha finished airing 4 years ago! And then there was this part -

"She also watched Full Metal Alchemist and Code Geass, but I think that those shows are gay, so I won’t talk about them." - WTF?!

As if that American teenager ADD lineup of shounen actionspaz is all that a hardcore otaku in Japan would watch. She prefers bishoujou and seinen to shounen. Do you even know what those words mean? Do you know what I'm talking about? The show you're writing for IS a seinen. The both of us are out of the demographic for it, but you need to get out and stay out. Come back when you've actually gone to high school.

Remember not to talk about it if it's gay, though!

(No offense to anyone who enjoys the above mentioned shows. I myself love Inuyasha, it's just the principle of the thing.)

Hello there, my 2nd time posting here! I just did a rough translation of the latest ANAN issue with yamapi's interview and would like to share it with everyone here :D!

Me and a friend are looking for Yamapi emotes for MSN (long story). Does anyone have any/know any sites we can dl from?

And for the love of God Alien Force fandom, can we possibly have some Kevin/Gwen where Kevin's in character? Kevin's a teenage punk who's dealt in the alien-version of the black market without any sign of a second thought. He's got a lot of issues and might just be the hardest head on the show. And yes, it is quite obvious Kevin has a serious crush on Gwen; just about any Kevin/Gwen fan knows all their moments, especially since the show's only been on for a season so far.

So I know for a lot of girls the tough guy image is appealing, but can we not make Kevin into a wuss please? If anyone comes near Gwen, he's immediately suspicious. However, that same episode has a running theme of Gwen bitching that Kevin won't ask her out... and even Ben asks Kevin when he's going to ask her out. So I just don't think that a guy giving Gwen his phone number is going to trigger Kevin to suddenly tell her he's madly in love with her and is finally able to tell her because he stole and read hundreds of books about love. While they never explicitly say Kevin doesn't like to read, he does poke fun at Gwen for being a bookworm.

So in a long, very round about way, I'm asking to stop screwing up my favorite character. I want to see them together just as badly as the other Kevin/Gwen fans but not with a faerie tale in the place of Kevin *headdesk*
